No Limits Club Volleyball is an opportunity for girls and boys ages 8-18 of varying abilities to develop their skills through training and competition. It is a select sport where you must attend a scheduled tryout and be chosen for a team based upon skill, athletic level, and potential. Club volleyball is more competitive than league volleyball where anyone can sign up and play with others recreationally and socially depending on age requirements. No Limits Volleyball is a high-level junior volleyball club sanctioned through USAV and AAU.
No Limits requires that everyone tryout in their predetermined age groups. Some players do play up, but at the request of No Limits Volleyball only. If you are unsure, sign up for the age group determined by your birthday and contact Jena Pierson at jenanolimits@gmail.com.

No Limits is the largest and most competitive club in Polk County. Your teams compete and are successful at the club and open level of competitive volleyball. At Nationals we play several divisions up from instead of playing in the lowest division possible like other clubs. We want to challenge our players to be the best they can be. We know that different teams have different levels and that is why owe select a tournament schedule for each of our Navy, White and Orange teams independent of each other. The proof is in the results so feel free to see what levels and how our teams finished. Make sure you research other clubs you may be considering as well so you don't get hoodwinked.
Register for tryouts by visiting our Volleyball Information page or using this direct link by clicking HERE.
If you are unable to attend one or two of the tryout dates, you can still be considered for a team. Keep in mind that this does limit the opportunity for the athlete to be seen by the No Limits evaluators.
We typically place 9-12 players on a team. Factors that affect this determination include but are not limited to: age group, the level of talent, and the positional needs of a particular team.
The day after the last tryout date we will send an invitation for you to accept your spot on the team you have been placed on. You must accept your spot and pay the deposit before the time mentioned in the email or your spot may be given to an alternate athlete.
You must make your deposit ($500 for Navy teams, $450 for White and $400 for Orange teams) within 72 hours to lock in your spot on your team. You will then attend a uniform fitting in August so uniforms can be ordered. You will need to review and sign all paperwork provided by No Limits. You will attend a photo shoot in uniform with your team for team and individual pictures in October. You will register and complete all training classes for AAU and USAV by October 1, 2024.
No! Athletes can start at any age to compete for a spot on the 12U team.
Athletes should bring a refillable water bottle and wear appropriate volleyball attire. Please make sure your shorts cover your body appropriately.
Only players are allowed into the gym. We realize this is a stressful time, but we want the players and evaluators focused on the court and not distracted by family or friends off the court. There may be a situation where No Limits staff wants to discuss your player's options, so we encourage parents to stay close by so they can be reached by phone for a discussion if needed.
Player fees range($1250-$2500) depending on which team they are selected to. Fees cover the cost of gym rental, equipment, tournament entry fees, coaches salaries, player uniforms, administrative fees, and printing costs. In addition to the player fee, players will have to register with AAU and/or USAV at their own expense depending on the team they are selected to.
Fees do not include spectator tickets, airfare, hotels, food, transportation or shopping.
No Limits believes that athletes should participate on their ability to play, not their ability to pay. If the cost of club might be a prohibiting factor to your child, please contact us for options on sponsors and opportunities to earn money towards player fees. nolimitssportsplex@gmail.com
Schedules for the 2022-2023 won't be sanctioned or finalized until September/October of 2022. We will release a final tournament schedule for each of our teams by November 15th, 2022. Teams will participate in 7 tournaments. Teams that win a bid or partial bid to Nationals will have to pay an extra fee as practices will go into June of 2023.
In the past, most of the tournaments were in the Tampa/Orlando area. We normally played one Daytona tournament each year. For Navy teams we normally do one out of state tournament and also attend AAU Nationals in Orlando.
Some of the three day tournaments will require students to miss a day of school. This should not be more than two days and will be communicated far in advance so players can get their work and have an excused absence from school.
The season starts in January and ends in May/June depending on your team's tournament trial. There will be opportunities for teams and individuals to train leading up to official team practices in January. Those events will be posted on our online calendar and in league apps. Each team will practice twice a week for two hours. Times can vary based on conflicts with gym scheduling or availability. Times are 5-7pm or 7-9pm.
We have 4 gyms that we use in South Lakeland and North Bartow. A full schedule will be provided in your player/team account in League Apps.
All team practices and functions are mandatory. If you are sick let your coach know immediately. If you have a school function or other excused absence, you must let your coach know at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled team practice or function.
Playing time is very important to us at No Limits. This is when players get to apply the skills they are taught in practice in a match situation. Every tournament is important for our teams as we are trying to increase our State and National rankings for Nationals. Your fees go toward practice time and instruction by qualified experienced coaches, NOT playing time in tournaments. Coaches are advised to give everyone an opportunity to contribute their individual skills and abilities to the team during pool play matches.
If you have an issue the first step is to encourage your child to communicate with their coach. If this does not resolve the situation, set up a meeting with the coach, player and parent. The final step is to set up a meeting with the club director.
Regardless of which step you are at, conversations with a coach during a practice or tournament are NOT allowed. You should wait 48 hours and then request the correct meeting to resolve the issue
We are always looking for ways to get better. If there is a question you feel we should add to this page, please let us know.
